About

Adrienne Walsh is an Irish designer and actor who creates art both on and off stage. She is a graduate of the University of Galway with a BA in Drama, Theatre and Performance with Italian. 

Adrienne has studied Meisner Technique at the Actor’s Studio, New York; undertaken Voice Acting courses with Compass Arts and the National Talent Academies and studied Voice & Diction under Deborah Martin at Berea College, Kentucky.

Previous acting credits include ‘What a P*ssy!’ (Dublin Fringe, Westival, Scene + Heard); ‘Baby on the Beach (Peninsula Television); To Be Adored (Anna Doyle with Barnstorm Theatre) and ‘You Can Be a Menace Too!’ (Scene + Heard).

Adrienne is mostly self taught and has advanced her sewing skills by utilising online tutorials and receiving guidance from peers. In an effort to enhance her design skills, Adrienne has recently completed classes at the Fashion Design Academy of Ireland, studying for a postgraduate diploma in Fashion Design.

In addition to acting, Adrienne have explored various types of design and mixed media, experimenting with jewellery making, painting, embroidery and graphic design. She is currently focusing is on working with textiles, particularly costume design and construction. 

Recent costume credits include costume design for Branar’s ‘Clan Lir’ and ‘The Song of the Trees’, ; ‘An Poítín’ (Bloc TG4); ‘For The Lack of Laura’ and puppet design for ‘What a P*ssy’.; Deputy Costume Supervisor on Druid’s ‘Riders to the Sea and Macbeth’; Costume Assistant on RTÉ’s Dancing with the Stars S9; ‘Three Short Comedies National Tour 2025′; ‘Endgame’ and ‘The Last Return’; Branar’s ‘Scéal an Lae’, ‘How to Catch a Star’ and ‘Grand Soft Day’. Costume maintenance for ‘How to be a Dancer is Seventy-Two Thousand Easy Lessons’ and ‘Medicine’ for Galway International Arts Festival. 

Adrienne has recently been granted an Agility Award from the Arts Council. She will be using the award to train in tambour embroidery at the Ècole Lesage, Paris in Autumn 2025.
